What:  Auditions for Pittsburgh CLO’s 2019 Summer Season – GREASE, OKLAHOMA!, PETER PAN, ROCK OF AGES and ONCE.

Who: Trained Singers, Dancers, Character Actors, and Actor/Musicians. Please note that Chorus Members must be able to sing and dance. Most age-appropriate roles are cast from the chorus auditions. We recommend those under the age of 30 should attend singer and dancer auditions.

Children’s roles under the age of 18 will be cast from students of the Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater. For information regarding the Academy please call 412-281-2234. The audition date for children is February 10, 2019

Requirements

All performers must bring a headshot and resume (double sided or stapled), and a completed Audition Application.

Trained Singers
Age 18+

Please Prepare:

• Although we may ask to hear only one song cut, please prepare both 16 bars of a traditional musical theatre song (ballad or uptempo) and 16 bars of a pop/rock song (ballad or uptempo).
• You may be asked to dance on your initial audition day.

Please Bring:

• A headshot and resume (double-sided or stapled).
• A completed Audition Application.
• Easy-to-use sheet music in your key for each cut.
• Your complete audition book.
• Appropriate dance clothes/shoes

Trained Dancers
Age 18+

Please be prepared to:

• Learn combinations in multiple styles (jazz and ballet).
• Demonstrate acrobatics (if you are able).
• You may be asked to sing on the initial audition day. Although we may ask to hear only one song cut, please prepare both 16 bars of a traditional musical theatre song (ballad or uptempo) and 16 bars of a pop/rock song (ballad or uptempo). Please come with easy-to-use sheet music in your key for each cut, as well as your complete audition book.

Please Bring:

• A headshot and resume (double-sided or stapled).
• A completed Audition Application.
• Appropriate dance clothes and shoes (jazz and ballet).

Character Actors
Age 30+ not auditioning to be in the chorus

Actor/Musicians for ONCE
Age 18+

Please Prepare:

• 16 bars of a self-accompanied song from or in the style of Once. If you play multiple instruments, please bring each of the instruments you would like to showcase for the team. Please note that all actors in Once must be able to play an instrument.

Please Bring:

• A headshot and resume (double-sided or stapled).
• A completed Audition Application.
• Instruments you would like to showcase for the team.
• Your complete audition book.

• Instructions for signing up for an audition appointment can be found HERE. You will receive an audition confirmation via email.
• Download and complete the Audition Application along with your resume and headshot. You will need to bring these items to your audition appointment.

Weekend Schedule

Please note that Saturday times are reserved for out-of-town applicants only. Applicants residing in Pittsburgh during this time period will not be scheduled on Saturday.

Chorus Dancer auditions:

• Friday, February 15th (9:00am – 2:00pm)
• Saturday February 16th (9:00am – 2:00pm)
• Callbacks are Sunday, February 17th.

Chorus Singer auditions:

• Friday, February 15th (9:00am – 3:00pm)
• Saturday, February 16th  (9:00am – 3:00pm)
• Callbacks are Sunday, February 17th.

Character Actor auditions:

• Thursday, February 14th (12:00pm – 5:00pm)
• Callbacks are Sunday, February 17th (4:00pm – 8:00pm)

Actor/Musician auditions & callbacks:

• Monday, February 18th (10:00am – 6:00pm)
• Callbacks later that evening.
