Theatre Education Advocacy Day Set for July By EdTA News posted 2 days ago     The EdTA Theatre Education Advocacy Day will take place July 15-16, in Washington, D.C. The event, open to all adult and student members, will be modeled after the organization’s first national theatre education advocacy day held in 2017. Attendees will engage in a day of advocacy training workshops followed by a day of visits to Congressional offices on Capitol Hill. As in 2017, training will be conducted by Americans for the Arts staff, with the support of EdTA leadership and members of the organization’s Advocacy Leadership Network. North American Laboratory for the Performing Arts A space in the heart of the midwest founded as a place where artists can learn from each other, teach and create new work. 2019 Audition Information For the 2019 season, due to the specific requirements of An American in Paris, male and female dancers with extensive ballet training, including women who can dance en pointe, will be particularly welcome. As always, we are committed to casting performers of all ethnic backgrounds for our resident company, as well as for leading and featured roles throughout our summer season. DIRECTORS LAB NORTH   Directors Lab North is a directing lab based in Toronto, Canada, geared toward professional practicing directors in all stages of their career from all across Canada and abroad. Now in its 9th year, the Lab fosters a national and international exchange between a community of emerging, mid level and established career directors that need a safe space to explore and connect with like-minded peers. Participants are exposed to foreign techniques and practices, broadening their scope and repertoire.
