AUDIO TECHNICIAN

OVERVIEW:
The Audio Technician is responsible for the safe and proper operation of all the audio systems in the main theater for all shows and activities (includes full-cast production shows, magic shows, variety shows, Welcome Aboard Show, Carnival Legends Show, Game Shows, lounge talks & presentations and more). You are also responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and ensuring the proper functioning of all audio systems in the various venues around the ship.

AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN

OVERVIEW:
The Automation technician is the operator of the automated stage rigging system in the main theater (up to 32 automated drops) for all shows and activities (includes full-cast production shows, magic shows, variety shows, Welcome Aboard Show, Carnival Legends Show, Game Shows, lounge talks & presentations and more). You are also responsible for the cleaning & maintenance of the drops as well as assisting the Floor Technician with the maintenance and repair of the scenery and props.

ENTERTAINMENT TECHNICAL MANAGER

OVERVIEW:
The Entertainment Technical Manager manages the Entertainment Technology Department onboard a vessel within the Carnival Cruise Line fleet, providing leadership and guidance for the Entertainment Technicians and identifying the required areas of work; and is responsible for ensuring the performance of all duties.

FLOOR TECHNICIAN

OVERVIEW:
The Floor Technician manages the stage area during all shows and activities (including full-cast production shows, magic shows, variety shows, Welcome Aboard Show, Carnival Legends Show, Game Shows, lounge talks & presentations and more) overseeing the safe entrance/exits of all cast members, performers and running crew, as well as scenery movement and automated backdrops operated by the Automation Technician. You are the “eyes & ears” of the Automation and lighting technicians on the floor area, giving them clearance for any automation and pyrotechnics cues. The floor Technician also coordinates all six stage hands and the assigned fire patrol while running their show tracks, ensuring all shows run safely and effectively on stage. The Floor Technician is also responsible for the cleaning & maintenance of all scenery and props, the safety and upkeep of all backstage areas, including but not limited to storage areas, lockers, etc.

LIGHTING TECHNICIAN

OVERVIEW:
The Light Technician is responsible for the safe and proper operation of the lighting & special effects systems in the main theater during all shows and activities (includes full‐cast production shows, magic shows, variety shows, Welcome Aboard Show, Carnival Legends Show, Game Show, lounge talks & presentations and more). She/he is also responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and ensuring the proper functioning of all conventional stage lighting as well as intelligent moving fixtures installed in various venues around the ship (main theater, aft lounge, Lido open deck, the night club, teen clubs, main atrium, etc.).

VIDEO TECHNICIAN

OVERVIEW:
The Video Technician must be able to acquire, compress, digitize, duplicate, edit and store audio and video data for onboard production. Target and acquire satellite reception for the purpose of broadcast television. He/she must also be able to ingest and schedule digital media for playback on internal broadcast television system. Set up and/or operate audio/video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, and related electronic equipment for special events including presentations and meetings. Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance of the audio/video equipment as well as in‐cabin television troubleshooting.
