2019 TONY AWARD WINNERS

2019 Tony Award Winners

Hadestown won 8 Tony Awards at the 73rd annual Tony ceremony, including Best Musical. Anaïs Mitchellwas honored for her score, along with Rachel Chavkin who won for her direction.

Oklahoma! won Best Revival of a Musical, with Ali Stroker winning Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical. Her win marks the first time a person who uses a wheelchair has won a Tony Award.  The Ferryman won Best Play and The Boys in The Band won Best Revival of a Play.

Stephanie J. Block took home Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in The Cher Show, while Santino Fontana won Best Actor in a Musical for Tootsie.

Hosted by James Corden, the 2019 American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
